Apple trees won't grow
I finally complete Clotho's quest and bought two apple seedlings. I planted them about 30 in game days ago and they still have not produced apples. They look like sticks with a giant hazard sign in front of them. What am I doing wrong?

On an un-related note, do I HAVE to throw a body in the river? Yorick keeps fussing at me to do it, but there is no quest listed under his name.

Pro-tip; take the corpse you remove from the graveyard to the morgue first, remove every 'part' (9 pieces total - for future study), then take the 'empty' corpse to the river and toss it in ...just do your best to make sure that's the only corpse you waste - either bury or cremate the rest. :gk_skull:
I just bought the game and I already get the feeling I'm going to have a lot of questions lol. May I ask why you shouldn't send corpses down the river?
What Tabasco says has merit, as the Burial Certificates certainly are useful, especially early-game ...but it's a bit more than that, beyond the morality of contaminating the Town's water-supply with corpses, at least.

A good corpse (low reds, high whites)? - you want to bury in your graveyard. This yields a Cert, but limits the number of body parts one should remove from the given corpse, before you lock it away with dirt and decorations, in order to increase the overall quality of your graveyard. This improvement of your graveyard's quality will increase the monetary income of sermons, and is necessary in regards to progressing through the bishop's quest-line.

A bad corpse (high reds, low whites)? - you do not want to bury in your graveyard, allowing you the option of extracting any body parts you may want, but you still need to dispose of the corpse itself - your morgue has a limit, afterall. From here you're left with one of two options; throwing it in the river, yielding no benefit, except for pilfered parts ...or cremation, which yields Salt (important for an early quest and useful food), Ash (important for funeral urns and quality fertilizer), and a Cert, in addition to any extracted parts. This makes cremation the obvious preferred choice, though it does require some early research, as well as the time/energy/materials to set up and maintain.

Apple tree; you have to spend some time/energy actually planting the tree/bush, just like most other blueprints, which is why there's a sign. I think it might require a shovel ...? :gk_energy:

Yorick's hated corpse; starting out, there's several side-quests that don't have much to do with the primary quest-lines, but instead introduce vital aspects of the game to the player. In regards to Yorick, i think his involves an introduction to cremation, which is incredibly useful (you don't want to bury every corpse), yet requires that you waste at least one corpse by sending it down the river.

because you didn't get a burial certificate from them which you can sell. Money is really important in this game because you need the expensive aristocrat paper.
