You can use the Study Table, various things will give you Blue points. You can also upgrade and make fancier Grave Stones and Fencings.
https://graveyardkeeper.fandom.com/wiki/Technologies#Blue
You get science points by 'studying' resources like paper and books at the science table. Instead of studying them, you're consuming them and adding science points to the table when you do so.
If you're in the early game, use the skin you can harvest off corpses and turn that into paper at the church workbench. You can also buy the materials from the astrologer at the light house, but that's pretty expensive (couple of silver IIRC) to do in the early game.
I have to be honest i am a little confused myself.
I want these blue points to unlock new stuff in the tech tree. I read your replies and looked in the wiki. It says i have to study for example books/paper. However i do not have the "science" required to do so. In the wiki they say i could get it by decomposing stuff on the science table? But how do i do it? Normally i manage to find out stuff by myself via search funtions and google but this time i somehow cant seem to get it to work.
Edit:
Did i fck up by not unlocking the "writing" ability at books & writing with my first 5 "free" blue points? i spend them on something else i think...
Science is a resource kept at the Study Table (similar to fuel in a Furnace), created by 'studying' most paper products (the act of which consumes them - the most basic being Clean Paper), and this Science is then utilized when studying non-paper products.
BTp are experience points in the fields of writing, theology, and anatomy - basically most anything relating to the general concept of 'science'. They're used in the various tech-trees to unlock most all mid-to-late-game technology, and thus should generally be reserved.
The desk (which is the workstation the 'Writing' tech unlocks) is used specifically for written works, so assuming you aren't writing anything anytime soon, unlocking that tech was a bit silly ... but 5 BTp isn't that big a deal. You can get 400+ BTp just by studying all the Theology and Anatomy items that are immediately available to you; all the gravestones and fences in the graveyard, and all the body parts you can pull from a corpse. I would suggest being particularly careful in how you spend those BTp, though...
Thank you for your reply.
I understood the difference between the BTp and Science points. My main problem right now is that the game/wiki tells me i can generate BTp by using the Study Table but to use the study table i need science points which i do not have. So its like a circle i cant escape cause i cant generate one without already having the other.
Somehow i managed to get 1 BTp in the last hour. Not sure how to be honest.
I saw i am able to unlock/build a "church workbench" (the one on the tech "paper construction"; 2 under journalist). Maybe this will help. I also read in the wiki you can purchase 25 BTp by buying a book or something from the astroner guy.^^ Will try my luck with that.
"Spiritual knowledge of the immaterial world". Blue tech points are often among the hardest to earn in the early game. Tasks involving the morgue, graveyard, writing and alchemy often generate them but many of these aren't options until later. The best early source of them is the study table. Organs are studied to gain Blue Tech Point as well as gravestones, fences and some alchemical substances. The study table is unlocked after the player gets access to the church.
Another way to gain those points is producing hemp ropes, polished stone bricks, steel parts, conical flasks or advanced conical flasks. Each time you produce one of these items, you gain Blue Tech Point1.
Some players claim that ultimate way to gain them is buying or producing blue techbooks, which add Blue Tech Point25 or 50.
Another viable way is to exchange 2×
A piece of stone into 5 Blue Tech Symbol.png points by crafting 1×
Stone grave fence . Afterwards it could be recycled into 1×
A piece of stone. This is time-consuming, but rather cheap way to obtain Blue Tech Symbol.png tech points, especially after you setup working
Zombie stone quarry.
