Simplified Farming

Is there a reason to pick Simplified Farming over the normal tier? As far as I can see, it doesn't give you the gold fertilizer, which is the only way to actually really make farming viable from my experience. Using anything less than gold has always just... made farming less worth it due to having to re buy and re-improve seeds, especially with zombie farming.

I'm trying to decide between the tiers, but if silver is the highest it actually goes, then is it really that worth it? Currently at the struggle of getting tech points, and just starting up zombies with my new save, so I didn't want to take it over the normal tier and regret the point usage.

assuming a new game, simplified farming can be used much earlier than the alchemical options, with less stations required. later on its kinda either or as to which method is preferable, you still need to undertake several different processes either way.

Alright, thanks. The idea sounds great, but if seed loss wasn't an annoyance and a big problem, it might just be better off to spend the extra when it comes to the silver level. For me, the Gold level is the more difficult to get one, since the stations required for silver are necessary anyways. Thanks for the Info.

All the extra recipes allow you to skip Alchemy processes, basically you can turn Sin Shards plus Peat Stories, Chapters, etc to create items instead of using the Alchemy process.

although you need bodies to do that with, it can be convenient that way.

I always found peat and silver fert easy to deal with alchemy wise. gold was always tedious, but the sin shards are convenient for that. Also non-quality produce-wise peat usually suffices well enough as you can easily replace the few seeds lost off selling a few of them.

Welp, buying Simplified Farming after Simple Farming resulted in being able to make Fertilizer II in the Souls Workshop. I feel that this was totally not intended and is kinda odd.
No I do not have Complex Fertilizer Tech either...
Considering how actually cheap and easy it to make there... I do not think that this is something that was thought out well...

I got the ability to make gold fertilizer there only after I bought the second tier tech. Which I'm absolutely not complaining about, distilling individual maggots for each batch of ten is horrible.

Zombies + gold gives you peace of mind and never having to mess with manual labor of planting, applying new fertilizer or having to manufacture it. It`s bit of a effort to set it all up but once you have it running it`s great.
