How to get Magic Pumpkin?

Is it only way to get magic pumpkin by fertilizing? I couldn't find it anywhere, farmers and other npc are not selling. Fertilizing seems very long way to go, I am looking for easier option.

Yes - you need a gold-star pumpkin and 50 silver, given to Clotho, who will make a magic pumpkin.

Just get 4 silver pumpkin seeds, and plant them after using some silver-or-gold quality fertilizer, and you should get at least one gold-quality pumpkin after harvest.

Damn, i did not want to deal with farming, because farming is not the mechanic that I was working on and i spent all my points on different things. Anyway, thanks for response.
