Zombie farms don't break even on quality seeds EVER.
i'm higly demotivated with the farms, i had terrible luck on past playthroughs where my zombie farm never had enough seeds on EVERY cycle. i know i may have been the unluckiest guy on earth but this is quite annoying. zombies are beyond amazing to say the least but the farms are the worst and i say it with deep hate. i have to manually plant crops every single time i run a cycle so what's the point?

for those that say "they eventually break even" no. i had a chest on the garden with 135 pumpking seeds and now there are only 23 seeds there and the zombie is NOT working because he has not enough seeds left and something similar happened with the vineyard. a chest with 51 seeds is now holding only 11 seeds and ofc is not working.

the game is beyond amazing and i recommended it to some friends, i even bought the dlcs (which i deeply enjoy, this may be my favorite game tbh) so i need the farms to keep the tavern and the merchant producing money

i've read everywhere that efficiency shouldn't affect on seed yield so... please tell me what i'm doing wrong because i don't really get it at all... or if there's any mod to solve that issue (a mod that makes them produce "even" amounts of seeds so you can't sell the extras)

This is (i think) the opinion of a minority, which hasn't been tested (afaik). Just out of curiosity, what is the efficiency of the zombie gardeners you're using? If < 30%, that may very-well be the reason...

vineyard 20% and garden (pumkin) is the only i have maxed out with 12 skulls (even tho according to the wiki the max is 16 for a zombie i've read?) which is the one that lost the most amount of seeds... which made me think people was right when saying the seed yield was not affected by efficiency

Your gardens have full fertilizer yield I take it. Silver only will cause seed loss. Also, I believe the longer a farm runs the better it gets and not losing seed to even generating extras. Vineyards in particular are way good at making extra seed.

thanks for the reply but as i said... everything is upgraded to gold, (which is a requeriment for being able to use gold seeds )

i made another zombie for the vineyard, this time 12 skulls (30% iirc) and he lost all the seeds too.. the process for the 16 skulls is quite painful to farm but... meh

i don't really understand anything at this point. i just assume i have demonic luck

Well, yeah. They're zombies. They're not known for their fine horticultural skills.
