Undertaker Chisel Bug

I have been trying to create the chisels for the undertaker but whenever i make one it doesn't appear in my inventory if i already have one. When i don't have one (because i have stored it in another chest) the other one in the chest has disappeared. I think this is a bug.

No it is not a bug. You use one chisel to make a gold chisel. You are using your only chisel to make your new chisel. So you should first make a bronze chisel and then a silver chisel and try to make a gold one from it. IIRC you have %70 chance to upgrade the quality with some perks. I don't know what's the chance without any perks.

You don't need to go all the way from bronze to silver and then to gold. You can already make silver quality steel chisels just upgrade those to the gold quality ones. You can use either Prayer of Excellence or Cheese Pie to get the Handyman Mood buff that will make it a 100% chance to upgrade to a gold quality.
