Think about answering the same question every few days for two years and you would understand why someone would feel annoyed about it.
But one thing I don't understand is the lack of effective transportation in the game, I have suggested the devs to make the donkey or some other animal work as a method of transportation because the teleport thing that you unlock later in the game has long cds and it's not very effective because you still have to walk a lot, but they still didn't bother to implement that :/
I think the biggest mistake is people comparing this game to Stardew Valley, this causes confusion to new players who expect things like multiplayer, etc...
No way, it doesn't take much justification to implement co-op story wise. We — the people who play the game shouldn't be seen as greedy for wanting co-op. The fact of the matter is.. that they don't want to and sure, whatever, it is what It is... but to say that it's IMPOSSIBLE story wise is silly. This game would be an engaging experience for multiple players. It's a shame that they won't add it but whatever, I feel like it would boost sales and introduce a new demographic to play — it is what it is I guess
Tough luck that's not how the world works. Games produce most of their total sales in the first weeks after release. Anything after that is comparatively small potatoes.
Even if it was possible - which it very likely isn't - the amount of time and work invested in such a project would never produce enough sales to give the investment back. Never mind talking about any return on that time and money invested.
So it is not going to happen. Economics 101.
Subnautica is a single player focused survival crafting game but it has a community mod that allows multiplayer.
Stardew Valley was a single player farming and crafting sim that had a community mod that allowed multiplayer get so popular that the dev implemented it with the mods assistance.
Community mods are a massive thing in PC gaming so asking if one already exists seems like a perfectly reasonable request. They never asked for Co-op to be put into the game itself.
Exactly. That was why I asked. If there's a mod, I can buy this then to play with my hubby. If no, then it's okay, I will not buy it.
That something make sense matter. Just because you do not care does not mean you are correct.
I happen to be someone that think games should not be for everyone. You see. I happen to believe in the old saying that say: If you try to make it appealing to everyone, it will appeal to no one.
If you want multiplayer games. Go and enjoy multiplayer games.
If you want singleplayer games. Go and enjoy singleplayer games.
Do not go around and demand that all multiplayer games should also have singleplayer modes, or that singleplayer games should have multiplayer modes just because YOU want it.
I will find much less enjoyment in having a game that make less sense and force in a multiplayer mode just to suit a few people. The reason for that is because you are FORCED to take multiplayer into account. You can not design a game strictly around singleplayer if you are going to have any amount of meaningful multiplayer in the game. It is game design 101.
