Is there a zombie that will pick up the logs I cut?
Wondering if theres an easier way to transport these home?

only if there is a porter and a log rack, you can manually cut and fill the log rack in the tree lumber mill and the porter will take it home, but you are better off just planting 2 zombies in the tree area, a cutter and a porter, and your racks at home will fill up faster than you can use them probably

Ok ty, I don't know much about the porter ones yet, just started playing with the zombies, only have 2 at the mines

Since I got the zombie logging camp I haven't cut down a tree manually. Even with 10% zombies you'll always have enough wood.

A porter that follows you would be amazing
@Vyper - you need to unlock the Mill first, via the Ms Charm questline with Alisa, after the perfume quest. Once you have the Mill unlocked, I believe you're able to build a Lumber Camp at the large tree north of the church. It takes 18 Flitch, 6 nails and an axe, and you can station 2 zombies there. One to cut and one to transport. I might be recalling that incorrectly but based on tutorials I followed, I assume you need to get the Mill set up in order to be able to use it.

all I did was build the zombie lumber area north of the church. I 'put' the first guy near the tree and he started cutting wood. I went and got the second guy and 'put' him in the structure first on your left as you walk in. If I recall, it looks like a little shed and your character can 'take' wood from it too. 'put' the zombie in the shed and he brings it to your house. simple. didn't research anything, didn't fullfill any quests, didn't unlock anything, it works right out of the box. no idea why you're having problems with it as there are no tricks to get it to work.

The mill has nothing to do with the lumber camp. To open the lumber camp, you have to active the ability to use zombies. You may need to dig out the zombie from the rocks. You also may need to obtain the tech for zombie logging.

So I have 2 zombies mining the ore cave, one of them has to be a "porter" zombie to bring the stuff to my home? I'm not sure how to create one, I do have it unlocked. Or is there an area you build near there and put a zombie in and he assumes the job of porter?

if you're talking about the mine up behind your "second" house over the river then that's different. your post says logs! anyway, they mine ore and coal out of that and you have to build a trunk to store the coal and a stockpile to store the ore. as far as i know you have to go pick up both resources at the site. others may know some way to have it delivered but i am not that far along yet. i know nothing about this "porter" stuff.

The porter zombie carries any materials you set as 'cargo' back to your work space at home. Make sure you have places for stone, marble, and iron. One thing that will bug about porter zombies is that once they've picked something up they will move between the porter house and the work yard until they have somewhere to put it down, so if you notice you're missing some deliveries, look for some backed up stone, marble, or iron and just use up some of those materials so your porter can set down what he's carrying.

Your wood cutting area and your quarry will have areas to build a porter house. You'll put your zombie in the porter house and he'll immediately start carrying cargo to your work yard. For the quarry, I'd suggest starting out with two porters, as one has a tendency to bug out if he has nowhere to put what he's carrying, which can happen often if he's in charge of Iron, Stone, and Marble blocks.
