Doesn't exactly help much on the crafting side of it though.
Another instance I feel could be improved, maybe once you reach a certain point with the merchant after unlocking the crate system, is an ability to upgrade the crate system another tier, so that instead of 1 per pallet downstairs and in the end point building, it allows the construction of making shelves capable of holding 3, at the cost of say 12 beams, 8 boards and 40 nails, maybe even include as a fourth part requirement, 20 complex parts as well. It will get costly pretty fast considering how many would need to be upgraded.
There is also a thing, lets say, a special alchemy II recipe, combining 1 diamond, 1 golden apple and maybe some other item that is crafted from multiple items as well to make a one time use potion for zombies, to allow for it to convert all red skull to white skull.
But this also brings up another issue i have seen, once you have used all the diamonds that you can find in the dungeon, you cannot get anymore, which seems really stupid to me. At least with every save I have checked, the dungeon does not reset, which seems dumb.
You can sometimes very rarely get diamonds while mining the iron node at the quarry, and very very rarely get one from breaking iron chunks into ore, similar to silver/gold. So far I've dug up one diamond this way in my entire time playing.
Edit: Forgot to mention you had to buy the technology to get diamond drops before you'll see one in the wild.
