I can't grow hops in vineyard. Hops seeds grayed out

I have looked at videos, checked the wiki, but I think I'm still doing something wrong. I'm in the vineyard and have my vine trellis up. I go to plant my hops but it is grayed out like I can't plant the seeds. (I can plant grapes fine.) I studied the seeds.I don't have the mill finished yet so I'm not sure if that is having an effect on me not being able to plant the hops seeds. Anyone got a clue?

Nope. Requires that a technology be unlocked, same as the grapes. Requires being planted in the vineyard, along with the grapes. Requires a cleared trellis, along with the grapes. Requires four seeds, along with the grapes. ...so, as long as what you're tryin to plant looks like seeds, has the name 'hops seeds', and your trying to plant them in the same place that you're successfully planting your grapes (the vineyard), there really shouldn't be another problem that I'm aware of.

Yeahhh ...those are the actual hops - the product you get from harvesting the seeds, that you then use to make beer. In order to *grow* the hops, you need to plant *hops seeds*. You're essentially trying to plant the grapes, when you should be planting grape seeds.

And this is when I should separate when I'm playing Stardew Valley and Graveyard keeper. Thanks for the help. Methinks I've been drinking too much stuff with hops in it. Haha!

I have the same issue. Technology is unlocked but I can't select hops in the vineyard, it's grayed out. The grapes are doing well.

See above - there are "hops" and "hops seeds" ... you need to plant the seeds, not the product. The product should be greyed out, just like every other farmable product is.

The only place to get hop seeds is from the guy at the windmill in the middle of the wheat field
