Quality Fish Fillet
So I was reading on the forums on google on some steam posts for Graveyard Keeper....

They stated you could buy quality fish fillets from the fisherman. I went to the fisherman's inventory, I get to the point where I can see indeed, he does actually sell these.

However, when I try to purchase them, it gets to the trade window, but there is no 'check mark', as the check mark is grayed out. It's not a faction / tier issues, because it's on the first tier, and the items in question, are not grayed out. It's supposed to be 70 copper per quality fish fillet, and as I said, I can bring the items to the point where it 'should' be trading over, but the check mark stays grayed out, and in fact, it won't let me purchase it.

I can purchase the White Fish Fillet and the Simple Fishing Pole, but for some reason, it will not let me purchase the Quality Fish Fillet.

I currently have 19 silver 24 copper...

Did I miss something?

Please help.....

EDIT: Found some information out - hopefully this will help someone else who is stuck on this. Unless I am / was the only one ------------------

Apparently you can only buy items from the fisherman on the Day of Sloth, despite having the ability to 'trade' on any given day. -

First off, thank you so much for supplying screenshots ...so few users do, when reporting a problem. However, woulda been nice to see your inventory during this transaction; the only two reasons I'm aware of for why a purchase cannot proceed is if you don't have the money or you don't have the inventory space. You say you have the money, and that's all well and good, but I'm curious if you had the space... otherwise, I'm not really sure what else could be going on.

(Edit1) Did you try buying a single fillet? - or two? - as that's possibly the strangest part of this; to be able to buy anything else, but no amount of copper-quality quality-fillets? - bizarre.

Do you have any of his higher tiered items unlocked? - shouldn't matter either, just wondering how purchasing those more-expensive items would go.

(Edit2) Have you tried fishing? - bringing some Moths to the LH-Keeper to get the first rod? - some people don't mind it, and maybe you're one of them ...purchasing the fillets through the LH-Keeper is really only suggested for those who can't stand the fishing mechanics.

Nope - shouldn't have anything to do with it. Just tested this myself with two different saves, and it worked fine - neither were on Sloth.

I had inventory space at the time as far as I know. Of course my inventory has changed since then, and I am now quite a bit further in. As far as fishing though, I don't really enjoy it in this game, as I find other methods of making food easier / more predictable / practical (I also dislike the fact you can't see what time of day it is / week of the day, while you're fishing, or how much time has elapsed). The only time I think fishing is really even necessary, is when needing to get that silver fillet for the npc's quest. Other than that. I prefer baking pies and making sandwiches, and the ever cheap and easy way to combine 5 mushrooms that are easily picked up, scattered across the map every three days, which provide a decent amount of energy, early game.

I feel like I flip dollars around a lot quicker in this game farming and crafting and trading, than I do fishing. And it's hard to focus on doing any of that when you're literally fishing, all day. Unfortunately in this game the days and the nights go by just a little too fast for my liking.

The main reason for that is that time doesn't advance while you're actively fishing; in between casts it does, but while your line is in the water it doesn't change...though it doesn't stop zombies from working or your Teleport Stone from going through its CD. :o
