P.S.: Swear at the NPCs. They can't hear you and it relieves stress.
Do it quietly or in your head if you have parents, or worse, kids in your house. :)
Depending on how you spend your effort, this can become a massive understatement. Just on me right now while I plant a ton of Wheat for Beer production, I'm carrying: 70 Pancakes, 49 Silver Lasagna, and 92 Silver Baked Salmon. Right now I'm working through all the Quality Fillets I picked up when finishing up most of the Fishing achievements, which isn't including the 30 Gold Grape Pies, 39 Burgers, 55 Silver Grape Pies, a bunch of Muffins and Bread located in various places...having enough food or other resources tends to expand at an exponential rate after a while, like the 80 Health Potions I have zero use for right now or the 287 (
Sounds like a great excuse to start using that "Destroy" option in your inventory
Only for stuff like the 5 units of Water I was carrying that had no use. That stuff's useful when you're processing 200-some Iron Ingots into Nails.
I sleep all the damn time, and don't see any good reason not to. I also forget to go see various NPCs for weeks at a time, or get mixed up about which day that guy was supposed to be there. I don't really care, it just means I spend another hour doing other stuff I was going to do anyway.
The game is much more fun if you're relaxed and groovy about everything instead of stressing about what day it is.
Gonna agree with this. Unlike Stardew Valley, there's no need to worry about the timing on everything, so without those limitations you can instead play the game like a PC from Oblivion and never sleep since the only penalty is having your Energy slowly drain once it's past 50%...so there's barely any penalty outside of reduced effectiveness of the REALLY good food.
I still don't actually do anything productive, but it's somehow less frustrating this way. I've batched up like twelve logs I can't fit in my log pile, and they're just sitting outside my fence. I didn't need them for anything. I was just walking along and said "I'mma chop these trees" for no good reason.
I am impressed by your willingness to inflict great pain upon yourself.
No, not by nailing yourself to anything. I assume you mean to sell them to the blacksmith. You might want to make half simple iron parts and half nails because the price a vendor pays goes down sharply when he gets overloaded with the same item.
You're thinking way too small with that... https://graveyardkeeper.gamepedia.com/Crates
62 Nails and 4 Flitch gets me 15s, which isn't much of an exchange rate, but this is also a game where I've finished the story and the only DLC so far, with grinding out the last few achievements being the only thing keeping me playing right now.
For achievements, I will probably never get the 200 fish one. The rest just came as I played but I can't stand fishing so I'd have to force that one and I just won't.
