I was doing themission for snake and i got him his 5 faith and my inventory was full at the time, Now i only have the instructions and i cant get further cause i dont have the key. Ive already slept since then and the game has saved, Anything i can do or am i missing something?

You may need to talk to 'the poet' first, found in the Dead Horse (the tavern, in the village), possibly requring a conversation with Ms. Charm first (appears in the tavern on the red day - the day after the purple 'Sun'-day).

So you have the Astrologer's quest to find the Keepers Journal?

Did you try talking to Snake again?

Did you try changing your save file to make it a manual backup, then copying one of the automatic backup saves and renaming it to replace the one you manually renamed?
i.e.: rename 1.dat to 1.dat.mybackup, copy 1.dat.backup.1 or 1.dat.backup.2 and rename it to 1.dat (or 2.dat, 3.dat depending what save file you're currently playing?)

This will let you go back one or two sleep/saves.

I know this is forever old, but for people still searching or having this problem in the future, this is how I solved it: I'm not sure if I was just ADDing out or it was a glitch that eventually fixed itself, but I had the plans but no key, not sure how I did that or if that is how is just goes. I had to talk to the astrologer again, and keep selecting sub quests and every dialogue option, even if you feel you did it already. It eventually gave me the key, it was buried under like 3 layers.
