Communion Cookies and Table Behind Preacher Stand

I was wondering, because I never found out on my own, is there a use for the Communion Cookies you can buy from the Bishop?
Other than their use as a terrible energy restorative?

And the altar-like table behind the preaching podium at your church, is there any use for it?
Or a way to upgrade it?
It gives 1 Church point, but I haven't found any way to interact with it.
It also has a pan on it that almost looks like you would put the cookies in, but if there's any way to do anything with that table, I have no idea how.

the cookies you can buy if you want to spend money to level up his shop more than the weekly amount of candles i guess, his takes a ton of effort though so it's not worth while.

easier to level him up if you sell him completed sermons fyi. only bronze level to take him to silver and silver sermons to get him to gold. cookies have no use though- yet.
