How do I get black paint? i am stuck!!

I've been trying for a few days to find the answer

You need Alchemy workbench (tier I) to craft it.
1 Ash and 1 Seed Oil (drop) = Black Paint

If you happened to be having the same problem i was, i had to right click on the seed oil bottle and use it to turn it into drops, this still didnt solve things for me, then i finally found if i selected ash "first" in the table, then the oil drops showed up as usable when clicking on the 2nd slot.

It could also be done with graphito powder and water.

Remember that all the ingredients need to be researched in the research table before been able to use them.

The biggest part that I was stuck on for this for alchemy was the fact that you have to go talk to the witch I think. She's in the swamp. After that the easist and cheapest combine I had for black paint was Graphite Powder (made with Coal in a Furnace II) and water. Also what sanguin said there. You absolutely need to research it. and have the proper tech for everything as well. It's not a quick / easy process

get coal, cook coal at furnace turns to graphite, study it, crush it. get drops of water by using a water bucket. mix both at the level 1 alchemy bench.
