How to cut down the big trees?

For example, in the west part of your grave yard, there are bigger trees there. When I attempt to cut them down, it tells me technology needed. I've reviewed the tech tree, and don't see what I need to unlock. I can cut down regular trees without issue, just not the larger ones.

Which tools are you using? Pretty sure the biggest tree will need the Steel Tools.

It's the perk that gives you 2 logs from smaller trees. It's called logger or lumberjack, something of that nature.

Be prepared that it's one of the more annoying perks, because you basically need it to use all your space, but it also means you make more logs then you can carry... get good at kicking with your feet!

I don't have steal yet, nor do I have the "2 logs" perk. Thanks, I'll work toward each and post which does it.

Yep, axe tier doesn't matter, it's a building perk that costs 50 red and 20 blue to unlock that allows you to cut those trees. Not a big priority to get early though, only good when you're starting to need to use the left side of the graveyard, or you want to cut certain annoying trees in your garden/yard/mountain mining camp.
