How do you treat your Graveyard? (money vs. decorations)
So i've got a pretty full graveyard,
i've been planting them pretty much just as they come,
i've been replacing the grave headstones and fences as i level up (stone seem to be least effort for most payoff thus far)

but then i unlocked the flowerbeds and lawns
now i'm thinking;
should i dig up everything in this graveyard, put the "good" bodies on pallets, clean up everything and then start to decorate the place with lawns and marble things and whatnot?

how do you treat your graveyards?
just fill it up with graves or using decorations that takes up grave-space?

you can only put the flowerbeds in mutually exclusive slots, they don't share spaces with graves so build them all until it's full, haven't bothered with the others yet working on a columbarium.

The existing bodies within the graveyard have all of their parts. So later on, its worth to dig them up for parts. Yorick also wants you to have a graveyard with no red skulls.

yesyes, i know of this; he's already zapped my graveyard once for having red skulls in it, i suspect he will return if i upgrade the church a 2nd time .w.'

but my question was mainly if people treat their graveyards just as business or if they also wanna make them pretty/fancy/swanky/wuni

like i said before the flowers have a spot that isn't shared with the grave spots so you'd be silly not to, i expect columbariums to be huge though.

i mean it's +2 GY rating for free, just pick 2 red flowers each, you should have peat around anyway.

As far as I know the flowerbeds do sorta conflict with the prayer stations. But they are worth more so if you’re going pretty I’d do a mix but if you’re going points/money I’d do prayer stations not flowerbeds.

I like the columbariums and the have a spot tucked in the back of my yard (since they are large) I use lawns in the spaces that are leftover from graves that you can’t fit another grave in. One of them is like 2x5 in a long line that’s great for tucking between two.

I strike a balance between the two. With the way all the plots are laid out, you can easily fit the Lawns in without actually sacrificing any grave spots. Although, of course, you might not be able to do this without some reshuffling if you weren't aware of lawns yet.

Not sure how the Crematorium things look though, haven't got enough to try, and I'd probably just wait until I can make the 'best' ones, given how long it can take to amass all the Ash.

You dont need more then 200 graveyard reputation. Just save your time and burn the corpses to later make columbariums. They need 4x4 space and give +20 rep each. All other places can be filled with rocky roads, which you can rotate on R key.

Thats not entirly true. One flower bed (on the right side/starting site) can be placed on the same tile as a grave, the lowest on the first three.

still working on it.

also yes it is too true, you need to fix a placement of a default grave but it's true.

edit: 5 more sarding ash for the stone columbarium, i want to make it so much stupid donkey.

i used 100% recyclable grave parts only this time, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for the most part.

Well, for game purposes you need 200 sooner or later, but can't one have a nice graveyard as well? A neat-looking graveyard is its own reward.

To be fair, you should move that grave anyway, because it's completely messing with the fengshi of the entire graveyard otherwise!
Your predecessor had no idea how to play out a graveyard!
BOYCOTT Aug 22, 2018 @ 12:36pm
symmetry brings you peace in building games, you'd be a fool not to move that grave.
Konani Aug 22, 2018 @ 12:46pm
hm-hm, yes- i have collacted ashes; but did the "stupid" thing and thought of using a stone columnarium (?) instead of a marble one, or i naively thought i could just upgrade the urns sometime later _xD

but i think i'll unbury all the bodies, try and save any good ones on freezing pallets, then bring them back out when i've got my graveyard all planned out _xD

seriously a missed opportunity from the devs not to give flower pots to put on the graves, or alternate flowerbed colors :/

i built mine just now and stone is fine it's +12 GY rating so i'll make a porcelain next i hope.

2x2 size not that bad.
