Carpenter's bench??

I unlocked the ability to make a carpenter's bench but I cant see the option to build it anywhere! Does anyone have any idea how to fix or what I may be doing wrong?

the building desk next to the sweet house should have the option to build the carpenter's bench

Yes I've look there too- tried reinstalling game (without deleting my save file) that didnt change anything not sure what to do because i dont want to delete save file!

You may be having the same problem as some of us. If you are playing on a laptop with a touchpad mouse or your mouse doesn't have a scroll wheel you are unable to scroll through the in game menus. Makes the game unplayable... The devs haven't acknowledged this problem in bugs so I don't know if they will fix this.

When you look for it in the workbench, did you scroll down? The game does not make it obvious that you can scroll down in some menu so I understand how some people completely missed it.

I have limited experience with laptops and when I do use it I use it with a USB mouse. So I'm curious about this: how do you scroll using touchpad? Is there a movement or a button that works the same way as scrolling using middle mouse button with touchpad? Will it not work if you do it the same way in game?

Either clicking on a scroll bar on screen. I also have it programed on my computer to press down and pull along the right of my pad and it scrolls the screen. But that doesn't work in game for some reason...

Ah, I see. I haven't used a touchpad in a long time so I couldn't remember how to do it. I guess it is a complete oversight from the dev since they must've overlook that some people play games on a laptop without USB mouse. It is possible that this game is simply not designed to be played with a touchpad.

Hopefully they're working to fix this. I have no idea how difficult it would be for them to do that, whether they have to make major changes to the codes or something. If the game was never designed to be played with a touchpad, it may take a while to make it work.

For example Stardew Valley was not initially designed to be played with a controller. It took a looong time for Eric to make it work and even after the game came out on consoles, the Steam version is still not working properly with controller. I heard he has finally fixed the issue for PC version.

I can confirm that this bug still exists. Pretty disappointing since I just sunk $ 20 on it

try changing mouse from hardware to software and back to the original setting and then restart the game in the options.

that's what fixed it with a real mouse for me.
