Warning: There is no Town, and purchasing the Town Pass is a useless money sink

They make you work toward getting a Town pass because it was supposed to be implemented in the game (promised future feature that Alpha players paid for). They scrapped it last minute, and added the cop-out that you get struck by lightning when trying to get there and that some higher force doesn't want you to get there.

(Some people don't know better and think it's an entirely reasonable story point lol. They must find it funny to grind for nothing. I guess having some gullible customers is good for Lazy Bear Games.)

Pretty much the same thing happened with the Mountain Fort, BTW, and another location north of the swamp above your house, that's interactive so it suggests that you could open it with some future tech, but you'll never be able to.

Personally after watching a friend and some Youtubers play and noticing how much was cut and how inelegantly, I decided not to purchase the game. I followed the Alpha with interest, but seeing the game released narratively half-baked and with so much obvious missing content like this disgusts me.

If the publisher tinyBuild is responsible for putting undue pressure to release fast, shame on them. This game might have been as successful as Stardew Valley. But then again Lazy Bear Games are known for stopping updates for the GOG version of Punch Club, ripping off that portion of their customers, so I wouldn't trust them either to treat their user base properly.

If you were planning on buying the game why would you watch some youtuber playing it,and giving away the puzzles ?

i've played over 40 hours of the game and not realy felt like missing much mybe the ending will feel meh but the journey so far has been worth my £15 a couple of times over... only other game that has my brain so teased with so many little tasks and improving past project is factorio... dont get me wrong i dont think this will ever be as good as factorio but for £15 is well worth the money

I discovered the game through a Youtube Let's Play of the Alpha, but the game looked still very unfinished when they suddenly rushed to release, so I wondered how much content they added. Didn't want to spend money unwisely. Turns out I'm very happy to have checked before pushing the purchase button... I even have a -20% coupon which was tantalizingly sitting there...

Dude, you have the right to enjoy this game if you don't care about the cut content and the fact that the game just *feels* cut. It has some good elements. This warning is more for those of us who avidly followed the Alpha and were promised stuff that isn't in the game.

I started playing the alpha about 2 months ago and realy enjoyed it. Woke up one day and found that it was being released in a month. Hmmm i thought, that seems a bit quick, maybe they've held back content to not reveal too much to the player...
Then i started playing v1.0 ... oh i see.
After reading a bit about the rush to release and having put approx 30 hours into the game myself i can see/feel the gaping voids where content should be.
The game also has the Lazy Bear seal of approval, where you can quite easily bug your game by doing something fairly simple or too quickly.
I really like this game but damn they missed a trick.

Its like Two Point Hospital having ex bullfrog employees on the project, devs seem on point, looks great so far ... how will they ♥♥♥♥ it up lol.

you do realise you can get a town pass for free by doing a couple easy quests for Snake, right? You don't actually have to grind to buy it...
