Anyway to get rid of the old tool?
There's no Destroy option for these tools and Prayer.
Or just keep it in dungeon shelf?
I've no idea. :/

Some of them can be sold, I'm not sure but maby the rusty ones to the smith, and then specific ones to characters that have a related craft (axe to the woodcutter and so on). But you may be unable to sell them all, and I didn't find anyone to take my prayers. I have a dedicated chest to put anything that I don't have a use for, but for items that are 100% useless the dungeon is actualy a decent idea thanks!

leave them on the bookshelf in level 2 dungeon

That kinda feels like a workaround rather than a proper way to deal with unwanted items though. I wish there were more options to destroy or sell certain items. It's nice to have merchant that will only buy certain items, at a decreasing price, with limited money, but there are still a lot of stuff you can't sell at all. You're then forced to destroy or store away those, and it feels wrong, like an oversight and not an actual game mechanic.
Good idea Baksik, but I do agree with Nariom. I hope to see a way to get rid of them in the future.

Simply being able to destroy tools, like you can with ingridients, would be a major improvement.

You can get rid of prayers by selling them to the bishop outside the church.

You can sell them to the Blacksmith, at least in the GoG version. For me it only worked if they were broken, but then later it worked for the unbroken ones as well. They're worth a pretty penny too.

I put mine in the broken shelf next to Gunter.

Sell them at the smith.
He'll only buy higher level tools if he's leveled up tho.
