How to cremate a body?

I threw my first corpse in a river and the skull came up and told me I should burn them instead ; so i got cremation in the tech tree and found the place to burn the bodys. I build it, but when i got there with a body nothing happens. What did i do wrong?

Buid pyre, put body on it, ignite.

You need to get Cremation from the Theology tree first. It's at the bottom row, by Grave Markers, one of the first branches.

I have the pyre and i got the cremation from the theology tree. Still nothing happens.
I can´t put the body on the pyre.

My bad.....i found my problem. I build the pyre but thought pressing f would destroy it.
