I'm keeping a repository of bugs and feature requests that I personally experienced for a better overview: Allow destruction, selling or dismantling of tools[github.com]

have you a response now ? because i have much weapons and tools and i can't get rid of them... it's annoying because it takes up space (by mistake I made too much and I also have the old versions of tools...).

Regarding weapons and armor, it's true, in that you can't sell them (aside from the Rusty Sword to the Blacksmith) or destroy them. However, as you'll have your best armor and weapon equipped at all times (late-game; Steel Armor, Damask Sword), at worst this should really only take up ~4 storage slots; Iron Armor, Sword, Steel Sword, Sword with Gem.

Protip; There's no particular reason (aside from bonus red techpoints via study) to craft either the Iron Armor, Sword, or Sword with Gem, and as the Steel Sword can be utilized when crafting a Damask Sword, you can avoid this excess entirely with a bit of foresight.

Regarding tools, you should be able to sell most to the Blacksmith (all Rusty and Tier 1 variants), including the hammers. Regarding Tier 2 variants, they're split up among the vendors (Shovel > Blacksmith, Pickaxe > Stone merchant, Axe > Wood merchant). Regarding chisels, only gold-quality Steel can be sold, while the rest can be utilized easily enough. Lastly, the Fishing rods can be sold back to the LH-Keeper, though I wouldn't suggest it.

Furthermore, given the abundance of build-able territory, and the small footprint of the avg storage unit, I fail to see how this could be that big of a problem... Just build one extra Trunk in the corner of the cellar, and throw all your excess crap into it. Even if you made one of every tool, and refused to sell any of them, it would merely take up 1/2 of a single Trunk!

You can destroy anything.
Go to the dungeon to any floor that has interactable bookshelves (such as 13), place the item you want destroyed inside -> leave dungeon -> destroyed.

Why have I never thought to do this?! Brilliant!

Use it with care, when I said destroyed I do mean it in a very literal sense. The items will be gone if you come back.

Yeah I would use it for things I didn't care or not if i sold them like my old tools and armour. you get to a point in game where you make money hand over fist and selling is somewhat pointless especially since most people probably don't buy much from the blacksmith and he doesn't really bu anything except coal and the cheap stuff.

For example, I've got a Gold-Star Grapes>Zombie-Winery>Talking Skull pipeline going and the last time I checked the box with my money I grabbed something like 67g.
