Question about the fertilizer

if I wanna upgrade my seed tier and increase the number of seed , i should use quality fertilizer but not boost seed, right?

also would it be downgraded if I use regular peat on gold tier seed?

Boost fertilizers increase growth rate and yield of crops. Quality fertilizers increase quality of crops and seeds.

When I use silver quality fertilizer on bronze tier seed I will usually get back a mix of bronze and silver seeds. With gold fertilizer on silver tier seed will get a mix of silver and gold.

If I don't have any more silver or bronze fertilizer I usually just use peat so that I can back a decent amount of seed back when I harvest. If I'm not using any fertilizer at all, consider it lucky to get less than half of the seeds back.

I got a ton of gold grape seeds from using silver boost & quality fertilisers. I have stacks of gold seeds now I don’t know what to do with em

Nope I don’t have fertiliser 2 unlocked yet. Thought it was odd though, started with 12 gold seeds and after a few harvests up to a stack

I got the same results. Mostly played with silver quality fertilizer and got more and more of gold seeds.

The wiki is outdated. Boost fertilizer only increases the speed at which crops grow. I've been using Quality 2 without any Boost, and I get the same amounts of crops as when I was using Quality 2 + Boost 1.

You mean to say you use Boost I and Quality I on gold tier seed? Quality II is only useful if you wanted to increase quality from silver tier to gold tier. If you already have gold seed, there is no need for Quality II fertilizer.

I usually use peat on gold tier seed just to get enough seed back. Guess it'll be faster if I use Boost I instead.

I see. I only tried using Boost I once and didn't really take note whether there is any change in terms of yield.

The alpha testing says that using Quality I fertilizer on silver tier seed will yield some gold seed. Is that still valid? Has anyone tried that?
