excessive red and green experience points
Duno bout others but i struggle to get blue (am managing though) but have excessive amoutns of red and green points. Is there anything else I can do with them as there is no way im going to need them all for unlocking all the techs.

I have NO problem getting blue

Need use for excessive red and green points I have way too many. I process alot of resources.

You likely will need a large amount of both red and green - some later tech is 100 or 150 of one or both of those, plus some blue. I thought the same early game - that buildup is mostly because blue points are nowhere to be seen for a while (until you acquire studying), and early tech is somewhat cheap on red/green. It means you can have a number of early tech options unlocked, while still having bulk red especially - but it'll be eaten up swiftly, as you progress.

You can buy xp books from the astrologer. That's probably the easiest way. There is a cake that gives you a buff for study objects to get more blue xp. Also study bodyparts and grave deco to get a big boost in blue xp.

@ Lex like i said im managing for those.

For loads of blues just set up 3-4 level 1 furnaces and make loads of glass. Each 1 glass gives one blue but then use a higher level furnace to make that glass into the alchemy glass cones or whatever it is called.
That way you get 1 blue for each 1 river sand you mine.
I also am in the situation as you with several thousand of the red and green points, i just hope that when tech tree is finished the points will stop showing.

OK, I take that part back :) heh. I've reached a point where I have roughly equal levels of all 3 - but I guess since red/green come from processing basic resources, they eventually pool up again. Several thousand is pretty impressive - I probably should have expected to hit that eventually. I think my highest red was 300 before I hit some of the mid-level tech unlocks and quickly burned through it all.

For blue points you can plant hemp and make ropes out of it.

Which, going off of that, what exactly can you do with the rope as opposed to making candles? Does anyone buy it? :P

Once you research everything in the tech tree, there is no use for points. I have already passed that point - 800 green points and rising.

About the rope.. the crazy man in the village buys/sells rope. But rope is used to make candles (which also gives blue points).

I gather allot of sand and build tier 2 and 3 glass. With the maximum amount of furnaces you can get a quite nice and steady income of blue points. Digging for sand gives you a good amount of green points and the energie cost is low per point.

I'm actually starved for green points right now. Having a zombie doing word generator provides a good amount of blue points.

I've encountered the same situation. I'm in the late game, grinding out blue points to finish my tech tree while I have more than 2k red points and 1.5k green points. Feels very unbalanced.
I like to think that once the modders start ramping up their output, we'll see a LOT of "Endgame Tech Tree" mods which would be designed to drain all those massive collections of points, but be well worth the expenditure.

Hells, even if the next "Free Expansion" added a "self improvement" tech tree that did things like increase your health/energy regeneration/energy pool for escalating amounts of points as well as adding things like increased movement speed or buildable buff-granting objects (like a blueprint requiring 500 blue and 1000 red to unlock that allows you to make a small music-box that grants the Deep Sleep buff)
