Can you craft wooden sticks?

Can't seem to find where, just seems to only find them from trees but thats kinda crazy

Where else are wooden stick supposed to come from but trees?

You don't need many of them fortunately enough. Also, you can get infinite amounts by cutting down young trees that regrow on spots you've previously felled a tree, before they mature.

ah good point, i ended up buying them they are super cheap

You can also dig out small black brambles and bushes, I always have far too much than I actually need, thankfully they aren't really needed for much.
