Report a translation problem
my character tells literally every npc he's from another world, who knows, maybe this guy has heard of it before, he just laughs, what a fool.
Though, yeah, you should be able to apologise and offer him your services even if you said no. It should probably come with you having to do an extra chore or two though, to earn relationship points to get to neutral since you straight up rejected him, haha.
i don't think it matters
the real funny part is if you're careful he winds up being suspicious of you, but if you're blatant like some fool he thinks you're joking and isn't suspicious at all.
It's also about 20 minutes into the game, granted you won't find out you messed up for some time, but as others said, you can still complete the game. Not being given access to land the Inquistor is technically in control of is fair.
