Donkey Stopped Coming/Bringing Bodies

I'm super early game and the donkey has just vanished, I've been waiting like 2 weeks and he hasn't brought me a body. He only brought me 3-4. I thought maybe they were rotting outside or something so I stopped leaving my farm area, he just never comes. I realize there's a point where I'm supposed to get a quest to give him carrots for bodies, but I never got that far (Like I said, I only got 3-4 bodies total). I walked as far down the road as I could, I couldn't find him anywhere.

Just to add, I'm on the current patch, 1.022, so that's not the problem.

There is chance that he bring a body, so i guess maybe you just "lucky" to not get body for that long

Yeah the game tends to not drop bodies on you daily, wait a few days and he'll turn up again, this is to stop you (imo) from over saturating your graveyard with penalty plots so you have to grind more to unlock the church.

Same for me. It's been over 3 weeks now and I haven't gotten a single body. At first I also thought he'd drop by again but this amount of time is ridiculous and I'm starting to think this is a bug.

I need a skull in order to progress as well, so this is really holding the game up :/

Is your mortuary full? The donkey won't bring more bodies if you don't have any open slots.

Before the Donkey strike I had a body each 3 days or so. Have you tried upgrading the graveyard, that's the only thing I know I did regulalry (switching graves decorations from better I unlocked through technology.) and I think the donkey quest unlock when you advance the bishop story and get the church, which involve the graveyard.

So it turns out I had REALLY terrible luck. I went back in and played 1 more days and the freakin donkey finally showed up. Thanks for all the help guys, it only took the socialist ass 3 weeks to do his job XDDDD

By "going back in" did you perhaps mean to say you started the game back up then load your save file? I've been reading on other posts about people not getting the donkey showing up until AFTER they started the executible file for the game. Methinks the RNG is not working properly for the donkey to just not show up as frequently as one would want.

Did my post make any sense?

To further thinking over 'donkey mechanics': can the long threshold of bringing bodies be a sort of penalty for sinkin them in the river?

If something doesn't work restart the game. It happened with me aswell and restarting the game fixed it somehow.

I can actually confirm it. After a long session of playing, I stopped getting bodies for weeks and turned the game off. Next time I started it up again, the donkey started coming again. Now when I see that the donkey is no longer coming for weeks again, I restart. That helps.

Mine has been gone for over 2 months (in game time) and hasnt returned yet.Have shutdown the game and come back in multiple times and no go and since I need to get my graveyard rating to 200 this is really becoming a problem.

Did you put carrots on the basket at the exit of the morgue?
