How to catch moths?

I have the required technology, and the wiki says "harvest around flowers at night", but when I harvest flowers, I only get flowers. And I certainly don't see any graphics of actual moths flying around (or any bugs at all really)

There is an unknown change of "catching" a moth(s) while harvesting flowers at night. There are no distinguishing signs around the flowers, just make sure it's dark before you go after flowers.

Oh right, there is a tech you have to unlock that allows you to get moths, butterflys, and bees. Whoops, sorry, I forgot.

He clearly stated that he has the technology and tried gathering flowers at night but didn't get any moths out of it.

actually no, its not. there are not answers here and i'm having the same problem w/ the tech unlocked and foraging flowers at night.

I easily got all 6 moths just off flowers around the lighthouse in one night.

Pick flowwers at night, get moths (not every time).

Pick flowers during day, get butterflies.

That's all.

If you're having trouble, follow the path from the graveyard past the sawmill all the way to the quarry and pick every flower you see. Or reverse the direction, bugs seem more common closer to the quarry.

If it means anything, I have had more luck picking WHITE flowers than the others for getting moths. Not sure if this is just a coincidence or not but it's working for me.
