Alchemy 101
I started playing 2 days ago, and already have a fully "furnished" Alchemy Lab, dystillery, grinder, you name it, but not having any recipes or even a clue about how to combine Items into anything else than the trash goo, makes it very frustrating to work with. Is there a guide to the Alchemy recipes? and if not, is there someone that already has made any progess with alchemy?

Make these lines into first place in this topic!!! it's very arguing and after many hours and after many tries I built the Alchemy lab 1 and realized that I can make potion to make fertilizer...halleluja!!
I did NOT find any wiki about this or just missed something, but it's true, BUILD BOTH ALCHEMY STATION!

The wiki has most of the recipes.

If you refuse to use wiki, just save before attempting alchemy, so you don't waste the materials.
Unfortunately the game doesn't keep track of the failed combinations that you tried, so even if you make a combo that you've done it before, it will still show as a "?" instead of the resulting alchemy goop.

Recipes that you discover are added to the list and can me done as any other blueprint in the game.

Wonderfull, thank you

The wiki is out of date so if it says "not available", it's probably wrong. If you're struggling, Clotho sells quite a lot of useful stuff to get you going as well as some supposedly "impossible to get" items..

I came here looking for this information, also skipped a tier and can't create white paint because of it...

The Alchemy tier 2 system is hilarious. Anyone done the maths behind a 3 ingredient combinataion of around 10 possible ingredients? To 'brute force' you through this is extensively dull and super stupid.
I would also refer to a wiki for the tier 2 recipes. With a 2-combination system it is manageable but still rather dull. I have done this systematically with a beautiful google spreadsheet and reloading to minimize the goo-production, since you have no clue what to do with the goo in any part of the game and burning it (destroy) is no option.
The alchemy system is nothing to "understand" and nothing you can "reason" about. No clues, no hints.Plain nothing. Why would "Alcohol + Slowing Solution" make a White Paint? Or "Health Powder + Chaos Solution = Heal Potion"? To me this looks totally random.
This is a rather lame element in the game which eats up the fun.

TL;DR: google it to keep the fun.

never mind I found it

the alchemy system sure is stupid :/

Black Graphite powder + water = black color
then I mixed the white bone powder + water thinking it'll give me white color... O_O

There's 4 opposing duality properties, and three types of ingredients.
Life/death
Order/chaos
Acceleration/slowness
Health/toxic

The ingredients are
Solutions
Powders
Extracts

When a combo makes a successful potion, it's inverse usually makes the same. I.e, acceleration powder and slowing solution makes the energy elixir, but so will slowing powder and acceleration solution.

whats wrong with you, everyone knows that white paint can't mix with water, only graphite that for some reason can be made by burning coal can be mixed with water (lol jk just making drama, but yeah the alchemy system is a backwards system, it sould be more rewarding to experiment and discover new recipes, but instead it just punishes you with "The Goo")

Alchemy system is weakest part of the game right now. It should be some other methods to learn new recipes, other than brute force. Maybe witch could sell them or by making aditional research on ingredients.

Or just give items you researched a description with hints. Sure this would be a lot of work, but reworking the alchemy system, too.
I don't mind it being trial and error, people will list them all soon enough. Only real thing needed is telling you if you've tried an unsuccessful combo before.
