Where to sell corpse parts?
I've mainly been robbing corpes of their parts for the meantime, but I can't find who or where to sell them. Anyone else know where?

You can't, at least as far as I know. Hold onto them, as you can use most parts for alchemy, but you really can't sell body parts. There are some crafting-based exceptions to this, though:

1. If you get the stamp, either from the mailbox by the church for 50 silver or by completing Snake's quest, then you can use it with some paper and flesh to make stamped meat. It only sells for something like 75 copper, though, so it's really not worth collecting, since you wreck your corpse rating in the process.

2. You can unlock the ability to make paper from skin in the church basement. Paper can be used for all manner of things that can potentially (although I can't confirm) be sold to the astrologer. You're far better off using them than selling them, though.

3. You can use fat with rope to make candles, which you may be able to sell to the bishop, but you are better off using these to bolster your church rating for sermon success and church attendance.

On the whole, you should really stop just taking parts for no reason. I've posted a guide on how to properly go about autopsies, which you should give a read.

I have given it a read, just I started the game last night and there was no indication of why I should extract body parts in the beginning of the game. Since I wasn't doing too well before, I started a new game and I'm focusing more on craftsmanship than my graveyard, so I can finish quests and stuff, then I'll work on the graveyard.

Well, exactly. There was no indication to why should you extract body parts...so why'd you do it anyway? :D

It just seemed like you would need them or that you could sell them, so I thought why not?

Not sure if it's in Yorrick's tutorial dialogue or not, but corpses are represented by various skulls, red are sins, white are virtues, green are rot. In order for a corpse in the graveyard to add to the place it needs to have more virtues than since and needs decorations that add at least as many points as the corpse has remaining sins to zero it out, preferably more so it adds to the yard rating.

Embalming and disecting corpses alters the sins/virtues by either adding, reomving or swapping from one to the other. The more virtues combined with decoration to get rating across all corpses in the graveyard, the better your weekly income at sermons. Also once you get the church basement unlocked either from getting in through the church or clearing the rubble from either the keeper's house or the morgue, you can study body parts for research, tech and knowledge to create things. Meat can be used in sliced meat for food, fat for candles, pretty much everything for some sort of alchmey ingredient.

My General Rule of Thumb is this.

if it has 4 white skulls. remove the Blood and fat and bury it. This will net positive you +1 in your graveyard without a headstone etc.

if it has 1 red skull to remove the brain. If it turns it white and adds one more white, then remove the blood and the fat and bury it (+2 to the graveyard)

if removing the brain turns 2 red, or adds any red, then remove everything and Toss/Bury/Cremate the corpse. AT some point you and emblem corpses but you couldn't do it in Alpha and I have not progressed that far yet. I've not had the time I'd like to sink into it.

You CAN remove the brain with 4 white skulls in hopes of getting 1-2 more, white skulls. in my experience, it's about a 25% chance to get that. In alpha, you couldn't get more than +7 per gravestone.

so burying a Corpse that nets you +3 with a headstone and border that net you +3 each is a waste of materials.

thanks for this, i was missing the finer points of how processing corpses interacted with the red skulls, i was starting to think it just got worse no matter what you take out, glad to see i'm wrong.

Check the guides. I wrote a pretty lengthy one on this subject back at the start of alpha. It needs to be tweaked, but it can help.

last resort, if even then. i like to figure things out myself, the problem was i'm being lazy and haven't researched to remove the brain and blood yet so my testing before was flawed.

Removing different body parts affects the white/red skulls which affects your graveyard skull. Check the wiki for detailed info.
