Got stuck in the witch's swamp

That place is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ maze. No joke. Somehow I got in and even talked to the witch but I just could not get out. There's a bridge you can build in the middle of the swamp but I didn't have the materials. I ended up quitting out of frustration, I don't have time to spend literal hours trying to get out. I don't remember when was the last time I saved so I'm dreading finding out how much progress I lost. Has this happened to anyone else?

the game saves every time you sleep, it's actually useful to be able to roll back a day's actions on demand.

Yeah I know, but I just ate food and didn't necessarily sleep every night.

i HATE that they did a maze in the swamp. it's not fun, it's annoying

@mar_raven. For a maze its not very complicated, it has about 3 diversions from the main path. (And a couple of spokes less then a quarter of a screen wide)

Inn Keeper sells a teleport stone that is infinite uses with a cooldown. It is the most important purchase you can make early on at the sacrifice of anything else. On the otherside of the map and hear the bell teleport back to home and take care of corpse. Want to get to the lighthouse before time runs out on the day instant teleport to the Astrologer.
