Building a Compost Heap?
I'm not sure what I'm missing, but I don't see the option to build a compost heap any where. Which place do you build them and whats needed?

Hey, I had the same issue and I just figured out that you have to have the garden certificate with you when you check out the broken work bench in the garden. You can then select to claim it and the recipes will open up for you, including the compost heap. Hope this helps. Seems like everyone else here didn't understand the problem.

I did that, I'm just not seeing the option to build it anywhere. Neither the house or the garden area, the grove under the morge, no where shows the option to build it.

After learning it, it'll appear in the list alongside the garden chest and farming plots. Not sure what's different for you.

it should be buildable in the garden area, the same spaces as the plots for crops.

yeah I'm not sure whats going on then, unless I need to unlock the farm by the house, but I need to grow crops to do that and have no way of doing so.

when you say farm by the house, you mean the one like spitting distance from it? the closest you can plant crops possible? cause i bet that one is mandatory to use the others.

You don't need anything to use the farm. Just get permission from the Tavernkeeper and you can ignore the Merchant however long you want.

Well there is the fenced in one that you can't use, cause it has to be unlocked, and a small bit directly south of the door of your house next to that farm area thats not giving me the option. So one I can't use till I grow crops, and the other wont let me grow any crops cause I can't make a compost heap. So I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong?

Why do you need a compost heap to grow crops? Why do you need to grow crops to unlock it. None of that makes any sense.

yeah, compost isn't needed, it's for when your fields aren't doing anything else it seemed like to me.

Cause you need peat to make the garden plott, but that only lets me plant berry and apple trees, so I'm just confused how I grow crops at all really. As for Horadric, he doesn't have the option to ask about the farm.

ah, that's what you did wrong, yeah that's not the right technology, that's for transplanting fruit trees.

That plot is for fruit trees though. Go to the blue sign in the farm literally next to it.

Well I figured it was the farm I needed but I can't figure out how to unlock it. The work bench is broken, and horadric is not giving me the option to use it.
