Ruined Books

Anyone found out how to use the ruined books we find at the church?

Store 'em. If you destory them you wont get anything.

My assumption is that once you unlock the Desk in the Library, you'll be able to salvage them to get Paper. I'll check back when I've actually tried that, since it's getting expensive buying all these nails and iron parts. :P

Have you gone to the quarry with the iron vein?

Just built the bridge to the swamp, so once I take a nap I'll be smelting some iron.

Just need to clear the road north from the swamp, or the road on the hill right above you where the apiary is. There is a quarry there with a permanent iron vein there.
