STILL Can't craft Polished Brick of Stone
I have a chisel, i have a level 1 stone cutter, i have researched the tech tree, i have polishing paste. I still don't have the option to make polished bricks of stone. Do i need to talk to someone before i can do this? What have i done wrong? Help! (i have version 1.034)

Noted there are different tabs at stonecutter crafting?

Be aware, you don't need the stone cutter II to manufacture polished stone (or polished marble, for that matter) ...they can be processed at the regular stone cutter, but you do need to have the relevant research unlocked.
