Same here mine just broke too. I can either buy one from the smith "Tier 2" oder build one myself but its needs Grafith and i got no clue where to get one. I think its a bug that the Iron Hammer needs Steel to build. The smith is out of question cause his friendship level rises only when you buy from him and if you sell him stuff it drops. You have to buy gold amounds of stuff just to rise it to level 2 wich noone got.

If you don't have the crafting structures in place to make your own, then your kinda screwed. The only other option is to level up the blacksmith till he's tier 2 by buying everything you can from him. Then he will sell you a new hammer.

If you go right from your front door, there should be a grindstone just like at the blacksmith. Click it, then your broken tool, then the whetstone. Fix and enjoy until it breaks again. =3

can we craft iron hammers? I have tier 2 smith and t2 anvil but no option to build any hammers, same issue and blacksmith takes crazy ammounts to level up

I had the same problem: Hammer broke, didn't have all techs for crafting a new one, and the blacksmith was still at level 1 so he didn't sell me a replacement.

Solved it quite easily as follows: I leveled the blacksmith to level 2 by gathing lots of coal from the coal vein in the west (essentially one iron pick worth) and selling it to him. Doing this just once was sufficient to get him to the next level. Then I could simply buy an iron hammer for, I think, 5 silver.

Btw, I read somewhere that selling stuff to merchants also raises their available money and thus their level in the long run, as they will re-sell your stuff a bit later for a higher price. At least for my blacksmith, this definitely worked.

Figured out another sollution, tier 2 anvils dont have the recepy but if I built another Tier 1 anvil I could get a recepy for a hammer...
