Astrologer Won't Talk To Me

I'm trying to talk to the astrologer, but every time I try, it says "he seems to be looking straight through me". I'm not sure if I'm being stupid or if this is a bug. Is there something I should have completed in order to talk to him? I've unlocked Writing in an effort to try and get him to talk, but I'm completely stumped.

He is completely freezing my game every time i talk to him at the lighthouse.

I have the same problem when i try to speak to him at the lighthouse the game freeze :/

Lighthouse is all the way in the east. Go to the village and keep going the same way. You'll find an old man with a giant pot next to him, go south at the little path just past him. :)

I have restarted my game three times ...and he keeps seeing through me ... i watch videos online and he immediately talks to them .. I know its alpha but UGHHHHHH so annoying

Same problem. Gerry was given a beer. Trying to give him the skull. It freezes when i try to talk to him. Animations in background still work. Any ideas of what to do?
