How do I get water?

I know how to get the buckets of water from the well, but I can't figure out how to get plain water for making dough and stuff at the cooking table in the home. I'm probably just missing something simple. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

get the bucket of water from the well, put it one of your active slots and use it, it should dump out water

Thank you for this, don't know why the game doesn't just tell you that. Thought it was absolutely stupid that I couldn't just get water from the start of the game - Graveyard Keeper needs a better tutorial

It doesn't tell you, but I learned to walk close to everything to check it, a lot of stuff give prompts when you're nearby. When I needed water I was like "Oh.. I have a well don't I?" And after checking, sure enough~

Basically, just makes sure to check everything and explore a lot.

It's the same with a bucket of milk or a flask of oil by the way..

You also do not need to put it in one of the hot spots. Just right click in inventory and hit use, exactly like your teleport stone.
