Gold Rating Story

Anyone know where can you get those? You can get silver rating stories form Gerry and the Actor, but dont know where to get the gold rating ones.
Ps: After 6 stories or Influence at 50 the Actor stopped accepting the wine

I've gotten a few randomly by talking to NPCs and doing things for them. If you've unlocked that tech in the tree and then do what quests you can, you 'can' get gold stories.

However it's random, and there aren't that many. You also cannot write gold stories yet, because writing desk II isn't unlocked.

Yes, this means you won't craft powerful prayers, which is fine because the most you can possibly get your church up to right now, is around 35 or so, and you can't upgrade your church anyway.

So don't fret.

Well since .675 you can make Lens. Didnt unlock the lens for me yet, so no sure whats requeried to make, but if you can get the Lens you can get the Desk 2.
Also, just talking gives you stories or only in quests interactions? I'm only getting stories in quest interactions and only getting copper/bronze ones.

I got gold story by study the steel ( lvl 2 ) tools. Might be random chance, but so far I got it every time I study them.

Btw, use prayer of Imagination to improve writings quality chance, then u have chance to craft a gold note, gold chapter and gold prayer of faith. But gold prayer of faith need 50 church ratings and this is impossible right now.

For me, I use sliver prayer instead of copper one. 2 gold and 20 faith per week(36 church rating)

First of all you don't need brilliant story because you can craft a gold note with the inspiration buff from the prayer + playwright + writer you have a 20% change of success, is not so good but you can take silver story from Jerry, a lot of them probably infinite and you can save and trey to write 3 notes when you have the buff, on the 3 attempts you will get a gold one if not exit and try again.
Second you cannot craft lenses, i have unlocked all the skill tree and have all the buildings and i didn't find a way to craft them.
I am sorry because i stud-yd all the 10 science things like T3 tools and i din't get a story.

Btw 50 rating in the church is 100% posible

How can you make a lens? I've gone through every crafting station in the game - no lens. A lot of people on the forums mention them, but nobody has ever said how. I'm guessing you're mistaking another item for a lens here, but just in case you aren't - how is it made, and where?

Playright doesn't work right now, and you can't upgrade your writing desk because the recepie for lenses isn't imlemented yet.

I answered this somewhere else, but Playwright works for me. it changes the chances on the notes and books, FOR ME, from 30/60% to full 100%, if it doesnt work for u.. i dont know what to say.

PS: I did get a gold rating story from Researching the Steel Shovel, i did had to reload a few times.

Playwrite does seem to work, but the icon does not show up in the buff section. My buff went from 0.5 to 1.2.

With both writing perks and the imagination buff, you can get 50% chance to craft a gold story, and confessional mk2's will drop both gold and silver stories, but obviously that's pretty rare unless you use the buff that increases that, which probably isn't really worth it compared to the other method.

the hell are you people smoking about lenses not implemented? it's clay some sand and some water to make the polish.... i forget the exact recipe but it's in and i've been making them for weeks.

Check the date of the post, game was still in alpha at that time and didn't have all the tech tree fully implemented.

Rarely you can now obtain a gold story in a confessional booth. So a prayer for repentence may help you.
Now you can try to write your own gold stories.

Naturally throughout the game, by the time I'm ready to buy the aristocrate papers, I have around 9 gold stories (sometimes 11). So they happen.
