I just finished the game and went through the portal and I am so confused!! Can someone please explain the ending to me?

Why did the keeper split into two people? Where did the other person go??

I‘m guessing that the keeper we play as and the 2 other keepers Gerry talked about are the same bloke? Since it seems like some kind of cycle that repeats.

Why did the keepers lover come to this world?

Was the keeper in the flash backs and I missed it?

I know the ancient god said we weren’t supposed to understand what happened, but I don’t like not understanding lol.

Other "copy" of the protagonist seems to be a "backup". Maybe we'll get to see Town after all.

Previous keepers failed. Since pictures of at least two of them are in the game, they are obviously not copies of the protagonist.

Keeper's "love" came to the game world because he asked the portal to "be with his love", but didn't specify going to her and the portal (or the old god) still has use for him.

Go talk to at least Clotho, Horadric, Ms Chain and Krezvold (only ones I've confirmed) after getting the treasure at the end of the DLC.

i am kinda annoyed when the DLC didnt add any contents after the end, but through the game.

i wanted to go to the town so bad.....and ride my noble donkey into battle

i think that would be another chapter, or maybe part 2. Like the red eye dude said, it's "2 chapter", so may be the graveyard keeper is the first, and the Town story is a second. He cannot come back because he being divided into 2 soul with different body. I hope the will have chapter 2 soon, cause my deal that beatrice (b*etch) is not done.
