One thing I've noted is that if you find an item that gives less than :) rating for a particular event, make sure the Bartender does not have it in his inventory when you do the event, because it will be used whether or not it gives a good rating, thus dragging you down.
I am also pursuing whether having various alcohol types in the basement chest (not shelves) or Bartender inventory makes a difference in any way.
Edit: Tried again with no beer in the bartender's inventory, and I sold 88 onion rings and no beer, so it might pay off to put alcohol in the bartender's inventory after all, but I am going to try once again with more onion rings to see if it will take only onion rings if I have enough in there, and ignore the beer.
Edit 2: I put 94 onion rings and 20e ach of booze, gold star beer, gold star wine, gold star mead in the Bartender's inventory. Results: Sold all onion rings, nothing else. There was additional alcohol in the basement shelves of the listed types.
Edit 3: So I put all 4 types of alcohol, gold star when applicable, in the Barkeep's inventory, the chest and the shelves and nothing but 120 gold star Onion Rings in the Barkeep's inventory for food. The maximum that can be sold appears to be 94 and the alcohol is completely ignored.
20 Lasagna (gold)
20 Burger (gold)
20 vegetable soup (gold)
80 red wine (gold)
So 8 hostings in total.
First time, you make 1 of as many food recipes you can make.
Then, host an event.
Now the important part: write down the
What works for one event, doesn't have to work for the other.
Second time, you make at least 1 stack of every food that was
Now host the same event again, and you're done.
I noticed the an event is especially keen on food, not so much on drinks, ie: if you have some drinks (and food) vs. no drinks/a lot of drinks (and food), it makes not a lot of difference to the rating.
