Can no longer make life solution
Hi, so I've run into a bit of trouble in my game (approx 250~ days in), in which I can no longer make life solution in the hand mixer. If I try using yellow flowers, maggots or brains, all I get is chaos solution (if I try using a moth or bat wing I still get chaos solution). I need to make quality fertilizer, please help!

What´s happen if you use a moth or a bat wing?

Quite strange ...are the quantities of life-solution items decreasing? - have you tried moving all moths and bat wings to another area (ex; cellar)? Have you tried re-building the hand mixer?

...any chance you have zombies up and running? - have you tried making a Zombie Alchemy Decomposer and testing that?

Der_Scanner - if I use a moth or bat wing I get chaos solution

EVIL Shenanigans - I've not tried rebuilding the hand mixer, and I haven't built a Zombie Alchemy Decomposer so I'll try that, thanks!

Well, rebuilding the hand mixer seemed to work, I was able to make life solution again. However, it looks like it's stuck making life solution >_> but I finally have a zombie for the Alchemy Decomposer so it hopefully shouldn't be a problem! Thanks for your help.

So, just to be clear, the hand mixer (and other alchemy workstations) remembers the last thing you processed, making it easier for you to process large batches. However, this can be changed at any point (in between processing) to any other item that can be processed at the given station. Are you aware of this, OP? - is this what you're experiencing?

...cuz this is still relatively bizarre - remaking the hand mixer shouldn't have changed (or temporarily fixed) anything - I still suggested it merely because it made sense as a step in troubleshooting. Curious if you fooled around with what you have stored locally, or kept track of their quantities?

...the zombie workstation will only work on things you've previously decomposed, so I'm not sure how well it'll work as a permanent replacement if you're having trouble decomposing things in the first place. I was just curious if it was working as intended.

It doesn't just remember what I put in last; no matter what I tried to decompose it turned into the same thing. And then it did the same again when I remade the hand mixer, only this time with the first thing I put in. I haven't had a chance to see if it'll do it a third time, but I need to make some gold powder for the first time so that'll be fun O_O

I am not able to produce any toxic solution. I tried rebuilding the mixer and also built the zombie mixer. Nothing will accept mushrooms or orange jelly. Its the only thing keeping me from gold fertilizer

@John - have you researched both (or either) the red mushroom and/or orange jelly? - once the item is researched, you should be able to process it into alchemical reagents.

@Laydee - you might have better luck with the alchemy mill ... might also share some step by step screenshots as a last resort, if only to try to 'nail down' what's going on. If it's truly a bug, its a very strange one, that no one else has reported, which is why I'm as interested as I am.

I may know what you did because it sounds exactly like something I've done more than once. When you went into the "choose what ingredient to use" panel to change the item being processed, please describe your exact actions. Because if you hit Esc at the wrong time, you revert to the previous item and that can make you think it is not accepting the new ingredient you want to process. This can be especially confusing when you're trying to rapidly process a lot of items and lose your groove/zen/pattern/whatever you want to call it.
