3-tile variant
Will it be possible to play with the not-uncommon variant of having a hand of three tiles rather than having to play what you draw? It would be cool to see that in a future update.

Wow that would make the game so easy and dull IMHO

Not if you're playing against somebody who does the same. It makes things like gardens way more strategic as you can plan when you're going to take your abbott off in order to play them back the next turn.

I agree with the OP. The 3 tile variant removes a lot of the lucj and increases the skill significantly. I wont play this version of Carcassone till they introduce the 3 tile variant,,,,,I'l stick to play9ong on BGA

It's part of the game to make the best of what you draw. The base game is much more skillful than you may think.

Board games have house rules, the 3-tile variant is a pretty common variant to make it more strategic. The base game is decently strategic but the big strategy plays mostly come with fields and I like a little more than that. If you like it vanilla, great, I like that too, but I like it more a slightly different way.

Believe me, I know exactly how skilfull it is, I have more than 100 games under my belt. In base Carc even the best players will lose with bad draws. 3 tile variant evens out the luck

I agree. I feel this is the biggest reason there are more people playing Carcassonne at BGA than on steam. If devs are still somehow invested in this game or want to try to reach more players, this variant definitely should be added

Here to voice my support for the three-tile house rule variant. Talisman and Monopoly both managed to add popular house rules as options for their Steam games without destroying the universe. Not sure why this is lacking from Carcassone.
