When is vr coming?

On tiktok, there is tons of videos of vr and like unique weapons like a scythe, so im wondering when this update is coming.

It is still early in development, and the developers have said they don't know when it will be released. It will also apparently be released as a different game rather than an update.

I hope vr is soon because it will probably mean that the actual clone drone will get more updates. Sadly that is the only thing I care about because I dont have vr.

They replied to this on Youtube. It's coming early 2024, so actually pretty soon.

Also, I forgot to say, it's not an update but rather a whole new VR game. It will cost about 20$ Erik (developer) said, but he is not sure. None of the unique weapons will come from VR to the main game as he also replied on YT.

nope, sorry :(( It'll be a whole new game with its own plot (and loreeee, we have an official writer now, I'm so hyped), so it'll be a standalone thing

But... why Clone Drone VR? You put so much time and effort into basically CDitDZ2... and make it only avalible to 5% of steam users who actually have VR? I have no words to describe this.

so like valid point tbh. Some people like VR because of what it represents for the future of games/tech. Those people are not me! For me, when I'm playing a game, I want their to be a reason something's in VR, cuz the headsets are expensive, it can be annoying to set em up each time, and I'm nausea-prone lol.

That disclaimer said, I actually really like our VR game, and I'm a little surprised tbh. I didn't really get the VR hype before, and found VR a little gimmicky sometimes, but I really think our game does something cool that we couldn't do without the fancy tech. It sucks that that tech is cost-prohibitive, and that's something we considered before committing to VR. But for people who are able to afford a VR headset! The new game is really promising so far, and I'm super excited to see what people think, I feel like we're really doing something!!!!
