It finds the server then gets stuck on connecting until a connection timed out error comes up.
Yes it does, and judging by the ping response time (avg 82-83ms) both ingame and powershell that appears to be USEast, but me being in EUWest it selects that one, I've checked and nothing seems to be blocking connections.
Help.
Since I'm currently working on some changes to how we connect to multiplayer, now would be a perfect time to test some stuff out with you--
Whoever is interested in helping me sort out what these issues are (and try out the new system beta early), can you email me support@doborog.com with this info:
1. What platform are you on (Windows, OS X, or Linux with Steam Play)?
2. Does multiplayer NEVER connect for you, or only fail sometimes?
3. Did multiplayer ever previously work for you? E.g. when we released 1v1 duels?
4. If you override your desired region under Settings -> Multiplayer Region, does it work?
5. What country are you located in? (Asking only since some countries have nationwide firewalls that block certain traffic)
6. Do you have any third-party firewalls or antivirus on your computer (Norton, McAffee, Symantec)? Does the game connect if you temporarily disable those?
7. Try this via cmd (if on Windows, hit WINDOWS KEY + R, type "cmd", hit enter):
ping 52.94.2.134
What does that respond with ?
Thanks if any of you have a moment to let me know, otherwise hopefully the changes we do will help get you all connected shortly!
It could be that your internet service provider blocks the ping protocol (e.g. some ISPs only allow http/https traffic).
Try it again now, and let me know if that fixed it!
If anyone's still having troubles connecting, email us and let's sort it out!
