Recommended Level/Equipment for Necrohol of Nabudis ???
I just really just want that bravery and faith. Keep dying in there though. Place is intense.

Nabudis is no joke at low levels. Death + Indigo Pendant can help, other than that, just the best gear you've got. It's mostly about gear, levels are a fairly minor concern. Also helps to cast Raise on undead targets (possibly with Indigo Pendant as well) which has a 70% chance to instantly kill them.
I only dare to go anywhere near Nabudis until I'm level 45 with decent gear. It helps to have your white mages cast Raise on undead targets (70% chance like our friend above said).

Get Bubble, Protect and Haste as well. And Float for avoiding traps (Nabudis traps HURT. You've been warned).

EDIT: I suck at grammar

Around 55 with end tier gear. Monsters are pretty tough there.

If you want to fight through, gear should be, at minimum, the best you can buy after Raithwall/before Bur Omisace. Level should probly be 45+. Ideally have Float, and people with Cura.

If you just wanna run for Bravery and Faith, things are much easier to prepare for: Anything that lets you beat King Bomb will suffice, but Float becomes practically mandatory. Only have a party of 1, plus Guest if possible. This strat has different names, I call it the Death March.

If you want to train up to fight through, use the Deadlands, avoid the Baknamy and 50 skeleton hill until you are around Lv40+, maybe 45+.

In Necrohol, Baknamy and traps are evil, everything else except Helvenik is pretty easy. Except that both entrances are filled with buttloads of traps and Baknamy.

I just recently went through nabudis on my level 1 run. To do so i had to have my blackmage setup to spam blizzaga and aeroga, everyone spamming the ♥♥♥♥ out of phoenix downs, and i honestly used quickening chains if more than like 3 baknamy attacked me at once. go through it really slow.

If possible, lure on your tank with reverse, otherwise lure + protect + shell + bubble and spam heals. Gun + Silencing Shot works wonders in my experience.

There is some pretty good mage armor in there as well that can help survival once you're actually in there.

EDIT:

I'm actually just about to fight Chaos. That should be fun.

I went to the Phon Coast, bought some gear and went straight through it around level 40.

The biggest threat really (aside from the obscenely dangerous traps) is getting swarmed by Baknamy. Annoyingly they are weak to Ice and you only have Blizzara so you can't wreck them the moment they appear but you CAN Immobilise + Silencega them which totally screws them.

The Imps are weak to Wind so my WM/BM could almost 1 shot them with Aeroga.
The rare tele-horse that appears after 6 Oversouls (Helvenik or something?) can be a bit rough if you don't bother equipping the appropriate immunities...

Yeah that crazy ghost horse is the only thing that bothered me. I ran round at about level 45ish

If all you want is to run through to get chests, make sure to only have one character out at a time with protect and shell. 30+ should do the trick.
Recommended level you say? Well, your party should be around level 1,2,2,3,3,3 respectivly. As for equipment? Gosh I can't remember it's been so long since i've played.

Oh god send help Adremmelech is two-shotting my party.

One black mage @ level 40 can easily take it. Everything there is hella weak to firaga and if you got your golden amulet early you should gain mp everytime you nuke a group. Most of the loot's for a black mage anyway. Just watch out for Oversouls, they have Annul.

If your main is for some reason a melee class back out to title and start a new game.

Float is bae against the traps, just make sure you're well-equipped.

Went there with lvl 20s today, just after Eruyt Village. It was a slog, and I gave up when Helvinek spawned. Need some more gear not to get oneshot left and right, first.
