Have you tried starting the game directly and not through Steam?
I have tried starting directly, but the same thing happens.
Most times, I forgot to mention it, I can only close the game on the task management
No other games in my steam library seem to be having issues, just Square Enix games.
not yet, but will contact them ASAP
Nice! Do this and tell the repercution here so we can gather some information :)
First eliminate the obvious candidates - do driver updates, verify game files with Steam, all that. Next, check the settings - a reset might have put you on a configuration that doesn't quite work with your system, so fiddle around with resolutions, windowed mode, all that.
It can be hard to find where the fault lies sometimes, but don't give up! Often it's just one small thing somewhere and it's just a matter of identifying it.
Thanks, you're right, indeed there is almost no update or anything that could've changed something.
I did those things, but still can't :/ Are you having the same issue @Hinnyu? Could you solve it?
"Thank you for your patience while we thoroughly investigate your concern and for the information provided. The team would like for you to try some suggestions that may remedy this issue:
1) Update your graphics card drivers to the latest version from the graphics card manufacturer's website: www.NVIDIA.com.
2) Update your Windows components using Windows Update.
3) Update your DirectX components using directwebsetup.exe from the Microsoft.com web site.
4) Uninstall and reinstall both the game and installation client and update both to their latest versions.
5) Update your sound card drivers to the latest version from the sound card manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer's website.
We hope this will prove useful in resolving the issue that you are experiencing. If the error persists after trying the aforementioned troubleshooting suggestions, please feel free to reply back and the team will be more than happy to investigate further into your concern. Desbarbado, did it work?
