Penelo OP af?

Coincidence or not I gave her the cleric job and wow... i just hit Mount Omisais in the story and she is the the char with the highest hp pool at the moment. Apart from that I just discovered that sticks can hit flying enemies ?!? which is awesome and not to mention that at the right time she will have nice healing spells too. She can block attacks, and perform reasonable combos. Very impressive damage char I have to say. Cant wait to see her using spears :P

Actually Vaan is the most OP. he has the best all-round stats out of all the other party members. he can be set to do anything and will accomplish the task you set him to.

For now I am using Vaan as tank. Also gave him black magic for science xD

Penelo is one of the best characters for mage-related jobs (i plan to make her Monk/BM) XD

peice of advice on OP stuff: all the mages get access to the drain spell (bought from the clan provisioner). that spell, on its own, is really, really strong. not to mention that it heals the caster for the damage it deals. my next playthrough i might just mess around and use a party of nothing but mages, and have them be prioritizing that spell over everything else.

The most OP thing about drain is that it ignores the enemies stat boosts in HP critical. You'll see more often than not, the closer the enemy is to dying, the less damage you do, significantly. Drain ignores that completely. I forget what I was fighting, but I was using my melee characters, they do 2-3k damage a hit. When the boss was literally about to die, that damage dropped to less than 500 a hit. I brought my WHM to drain, bam, 2k+ damage as normal. Its also very effective against a certain Esper.......

Yes but, have you seen those nut crunching abs? they are a lot more smoothed than the PS2 version but after all those rats Vaan killed in the sewers, his stomach is RIPPED.

It makes absolute sense that he is the most powerful, especially since Basch is a skinny runt after being stuck in the prison and Balthier is a canon gun user.

Penelo is so cool while fighting...love her! yesterday, she has just 2 shot the boss "SLYT" in the pharos (she is black mage/monk) i was so impressed how powerfull magic has become in this version of the game.
