The saves are encrypted. The only way to alter stuff is in memory while the game is running.

Do you want an editor to test a few things? or just to op yourself in a new game? cause i have to say that there are a lot of easy ways of farming gil and obtaining decent weapons early in the game on this version XD

Well for starters, if you want to farm gil early on the game all you need to do is farm the diamond armlet in the very first stage of the trial mode (just open the chest in the room), you can enter over and over again and farm it, each armlet can be sold for 6000 Gil so 10 armlets equals 60000 gils, as for early decent weapons i found 2 the first one is the gladius (decent dagger for early game) you can steal it from the lindbur wolf a rare mob wich spawns in the dalmasca westersand, the other weapon is a 1-handed sword called Karkata wich you can steal from the flowering cactoid in the stage 3 of the trial mode (make take a few tries because sometimes the mob has 2 other swords to steal), you may need to farm some LP in order to use it but its still worth it and if you happen to farm a few you can sell those for 10k Gil each

That wasn't a problem in FFX, in fact my favorite editor there (Farplane) did exactly that. I'm hoping we'll have something similar for FFXII.

I personally would love one (like Black Chocobo for FFVIII if I'm not mistaken) not to make myself OP, but to be able to start a REAL new game plus... by taking the last save before the final boss, and create a new game with some items and stuff from my previous game (since the new game plus in this game is utter bullshіt).

also you could just pretend you are doing newgame+ and give yourself items and LB manually

2. another thing you could do is raise stats of all cahrs by +1 each time you beat the game.. this can be done manually too. like a fake newgame+

3. single player game so play however is most fun. hvaing more carrots is nice though

there was a really well made editor for FF12 ZJS it let you pretty miuch edit everything in the game.

Party editor. You can add/remove/replace characters in your party. A total of 29 characters including guests and espers are available for selection.

if there is/was a save converter that can decrypt the current save and convert it it then convert it back and re encrypt. then we can just use that editor straight up

no noeed to make a whole new save editor. just a save file converter

of course not

I tried various methods of finding the original author and tried to contact him on various places on the internet. his last activity was 5 years ago from what I can tell. he appeared in 2011 and answered questions up till 2013 and then poof. wasn't active in any other discussions except to discuss the rich editor.

almost like he was a secret identity of one of hte game developers that wanted to personally hookup the community he loved so much ;p

if someone can find a better way to track this guy down to ask permission to rejig his software..

Use Cheat Engine, it has some very robust tables for FFXII.
