Yeah, this game has it's cheaters but I do wonder just how many there are. Someone said Crytek believed about 10% of people are using cheats. If that's even close to true it's very depressing. I hate these cheating scumbags so much. They ruin multiplayer games because they are so weak-minded they can't handle losing in a video game. It doesn't get more disgusting and low than that.

Some cheaters are very VERY obvious in this game. but after years of Tarkov I can confidently say I don't face anywhere near the amount of cheaters im used to.

directly speaking its impossible to prevent cheaters

and if its true that its only 10% you are looking at:

peak of 38,272 so that 10% = 3,828 (3,827.2) at best and while existent the odds of encountering a cheater is very unlikely considering that is the best case scenario

the truth is you may see some odd cheater or 2 but especially in something like 3 or 4 starts its a very rare occasion that is true

most people just whine about people having some really good aim or plays and excuse it with cheaters and while they do exist obviously norhing more than your average game (probably even less)

and since they are killing so frequently with their blatent cheats and whatever they are going up into 6 star in no time

most claims are just simply not true and is more of an excuse to make up for some bs moment or some bad play of yours or a good play on their end

this game just simply doesnt have near enough as people make it out to play especially when regions etc are included where that 10% may be coming from all platforms playercount + all region servers which not only make my calculations irrelevant but stating 10% of cheaters as a whole is irrelevant especially basing it on platforms

Thats what crytek will *admit* to... most polls and studies I've seen put the number at 30-45% depending on game and platform... some games its estimated to surpass the 50% mark aka Warzone and Apex legends.

The problem is that everyone shouts at the cheater as soon as they get killed.. I played almost 2k hours. and I encountered like 2 or 3 obvious cheating situations. But I've played other games where the problem is much bigger.

Fps, meh anti cheat, cheap game because of promotions, no replay whatsoever, it's obviously full of cheaters, the problem is that without a way to replay the match where you can spectate what they saw and did, there's absolutely no way to know if someone's wallhacking or if he just heard/saw you earlier.

Unless you get killed by something really obviously stupid like silencer nagant killing you 450m away through the floor there's no way to know if someone's cheating or not, hiding a wallhack is easy enough in games with a replay feature so it's free in hunt.

And as far as Crytek not doing anything against cheaters just remember the ladder bug, the punishment was a week ban so everyone got a freepass to abuse the glitch.

People like to believe the hunt community is cleaner than others for some reason, half the players came from cs:go where cheating is rampant, just look at how hard people are trying to win you think someone with the patience to wait for 30min in a bush without doing anything and trapping the extract is above using cheats?

90% of the videos they show of "cheaters" is just them being trash at the game. i stopped taking cheater accusations serious in this community because its just mostly cope and this come from somebody who actually recorded a cheater once, who then commented on my yt video and even uploaded a video how he killed me in his video. cheaters exist just like in any other game but they are very rare in hunt.

I infact tried to mess around a bit with nvidia control sharpness just to try to make game less jaggy - it doesn't do sh#t no matter how i tickle both ingame and nvidia panel settings, still jagged mess and blending textures
