And? Do you think if BR mode will be with PvE then it will be like Hunt? Then you should know what it's not. As I said Quick Play in Hunt already have PvE and this mode is BR, because it have huge map, random weapons and it forces you to fight against other players. Bounty Hunt is just like capture the flag mode, but it's hunting game, because you need to prepear for match (buy weapons and items), you do not have to fight against other players and game do not forces you to do it. I do not know how many times I should explain it to you.

As I see, you believe to everything. Just need to write it. First of all, nobody saw this game and this mode. And if this mode will be BR, then it should have this:
1.Shrinking territory (because all BR game forces you to fight against other players)
2.Random weapons
3.Only one winner
Otherwise it will be a hunting mode or common deathmatch.

Saying hunt showdown in a battle royale is absolutely rarted. Literally the only battle royale esque part of the bounty hunt game mode is the fact that there are multiple different teams on a large map.

No closing circle of death
No "Be the last man standing" win condition
No being forced to kill all enemy players to win
No relying on randomized loot drops, almost everything you get is brought with you at the start of a hunt.
Progression system outside of matches.
Being able to buy upgrades and equipment between matches.

But I guess none of that matters in the slightest because any game where teams fight eachother is a battle royale nowadays

Also with the definition Smith provided for battle royale quite literally any video game in which you defeat the enemies to win is a battle royale game. Plants VS Zombies could be classified as a battle royale game like that. Its almost as if real world definitions don't define genres and we should inspect game mechanics because, you know, they're games.

If everything is to be taken literally then RPG's or Role Playing Games shouldn't strictly have any sort of leveling up or becoming stronger, right? In fact, every single video game in which you take the role of a character can be described as a Role Playing Game, except they aren't, because the term RPG is tied to mechanics, not literal definitions, just like the term battle royale.

Hunt is a different game. Origin of this game is hunting on monsters (Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age) not your stupid BR games. BR mode they added later in Quick Play, because it was popular. And yes QP is a clone of PUBG. If you want to call every VS modes BR, then no one will understand you, because BR mode have differences. And this is the reason why popular today PUBG and Fortnite instead Battlefield and Hunt.
